Fontainebleau

Fontainebleau

Hanoverian - 1990 - Dark Bay - 16.1 hands

Fontainebleau is a 22 year old Hanoverian Advanced dressage horse. His impeccable bloodlines combine the best in jumping and dressage and both sides of his pedigree have been influential in producing the modern sports horse.

Fontainebleau

His sire Wanderer is renowned for producing horses with outstanding jumping talent who also have superb dressage paces.

An example of this is Active Walero who represented Great Britain at dressage in the 2004 Olympics. Wanderer was included in the Hanoverian Breed Show Jumping Programme and has sired many top class stallions.

Fontainebleau’s 1st, 2nd and 3rd dams are all State Premuim mares and his dam’s sire is the famous Wenzel 1 who was the leading dressage sire for 1997 and 1998 and dominated auctions and National Championships in Germany for many years, producing top class dressage horses including ‘Walk on Top’, the 1998 World Cup winner.

Fontainebleau was Champion of the Licensing at Verden in 1992 and has competed to Grand Prix. In Germany he won the equivalent to Med/Adv Med 33 times, PSG 8 times and Intermediare level 4 times. This horse as well as having the ability to perform has an unbeatable temperament which he appears to pass on to his offspring.

Fontainebleau

This year will see his fourth crop of foals born in England and he has already sired the Champion Foal at the British Hanoverian Horse Soc Show 2008 and has had BEF 1st premium winners in dressage, eventing and jumping. His oldest progeny in the UK are now 3yr olds and 2010 should prove very exciting as we begin to back and produce them for their careers under saddle. So far, they seem to take everything in their stride and have very much the same attitude to life as their Dad.

Fontainebleau’s progeny can be registered with the Hanoverian Society, WBS (previously BWBS) or SHB(GB).

Stud fee

Fontainebleau's stud fee for 2012 is £500.00 + VAT NFFR following year, Chilled, fresh and frozen semen. Veterinary fee packages available and concessions for graded mares. Foals can be registered with either the British Hanoverian Society, BWBS or Sports Horse Breeding of Great Britain.
